Klimatkontrakten är en kraftsamling där vi med stöd av nationella myndigheter och organisationer stakar ut en färdriktning för att uppnå klimatneutralitet. I våras klubbade kommunfullmäktige våra nya klimat- och miljömål där vi har som målsättning att uppnå klimatneutralitet för Umeå stad till år 2030 och för hela kommunen till år 2040. Viable Cities verkar för att informations- och kommunikationsteknik och digitalisering ska skynda på omställningen till hållbara energisystem för städer. Programmet ska vara en katalysator för nya former av samarbete mellan städer, näringsliv, akademi, forskningsinstitut och civilsamhälle.
